The last day to register to vote in Missouri’s April election is Wednesday. Missourians can register to vote at their local county clerk’s office, a DMV office, or on the Missouri Secretary of State’s website. Dunklin County Clerk Kent Hampton says there’s something else voters need to do that they often forget.

Election Day is  April 4.

Voters will decide city races, such as Kennett mayor, where three men are running to replace Chancellor Wayne. In some cities, voters will determine tax issues – In Caruthersville, for example, there’s a ballot measure calling for a three cent tax on marijuana sales.

The City of Kennett intends to place that issue before voters, too, but the deadline for the April election was missed – a special election is expected on that in August.
