While at Mr. T’s in Cardwell, a Missouri Lottery player’s decision to pick up a “$1,000,000 Cash Extravaganza” Scratchers ticket resulted in a $50,000 prize.
“I go in there a lot,” the winner said. “So I thought, ‘Why not?’”
He went out to his car to scratch off the ticket, but he instantly returned once he realized he had won one of the game’s five $50,000 prizes.
The player went on to say he plans to pay bills and then put the rest of the prize money away in savings.
According to the Missouri Lottery, in FY22, players in Dunklin County won more than $10.6 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $867,000 in commissions and bonuses, and more than $416,000 in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
