FEMA Building Going Up at KHS

A major addition to the Kennett High School campus is going up beside Metz Cherry Stadium. The long awaited FEMA building, according to Superintendent Dr. Chris Wilson, is almost 13,000 square feet, and will be open to the public during a severe weather event. It will have several other functions, too.

75% of the building’s cost came from the state and federal emergency management agencies. Wilson said they’ll start using the building when the next year begins in August.
