There were three fatal traffic crashes in SE Missouri since Friday. According to the MSHP, the first happened Friday morning just before noon on I-55 north of Hayti when a vehicle driven by 54 year old Glinda Quick of Portageville struck the rear of an 18-wheeler.
Quick was pronounced dead at the scene by the Pemiscot County Coroner.
A second accident in Pemiscot County killed a Marston woman. Troop E reports that 24 year old Brittany Schubert died when her vehicle ran off Route B at Wardell, struck a culvert, and overturned. Schubert was ejected from the vehicle.
That accident happened just after midnight Sunday.
The third fatality was in Wayne County Saturday night following a one vehicle crash near Piedmont. The HP identified the victim as 73 year old James King of Patterson.
