City-Wide Trash Service Approved by City Council

Kennett will get a city-wide trash service. The City Council narrowly approved a bid from Sharp Disposal to provide the service. Councilman Jake McKuin made the motion to approve a higher bid than that of the other company involved – Republic Services. It’s not unheard of for the Council to approve a higher bid, but it’s unusual. He was asked by City Attorney Terry McVey to clarify his motion.

Sharp’s bid calls for a residential rate of $23.85 per month, billed through CLGW.
