US 412 expansion has happened, of course, between Hayti and Kennett and more recently in NE Arkansas. Then there’s that 20 mile stretch of two-lane between Kennett and the state line. Dave Wyman of MoDOT says an environmental study was launched, an important preliminary step before any funding can happen to get that final expansion done.
The National Environmental Policy Act outlines what has to be done with the environmental study, including public meetings. The first one is Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Senath at the high school gym.
Completion of the study is anticipated late next year.
