There’s been a second arrest in a Caruthersville homicide investigation. According to a news release, the Caruthersville PD along with Pemiscot County juvenile authorities took a 17 year old from Hayti into custody in connection with the shooting death of Wayneasha Carter last month.
The juvenile is charged with first degree murder, as is Eddie Dewayne Hunt Jr. Hunt was arraigned earlier this week. He pleaded not guilty; his next court appearance is August 1.
Carter was killed June 11 after she got out of her car to talk to several people in front of a residence on East 13th St. Shots came from across the street, killing her.
