The Cooter High School Fishing Team is getting ready for the High School World Finals and National Championship this summer. The bass tournament is at Pickwick Lake in Florence, Alabama. Seniors Brice Davis and Garrett Angotti qualified by winning a tournament in Arkansas. Angotti said that win was in his first tournament.
Davis is more experienced and has fished the Alabama lake, which he hopes is an advantage in June.
The school is accepting donations on behalf of the team – the Cooter Hookers. You can contribute to their trip to Alabama by going to cooterwildcats.org or calling the school.
The championship tournament is June 22-25.
