Traffic Accidents on I-55 Cause Injuries and Backups

Two Louisiana residents were hurt, one seriously, when their 18-wheeler jackknifed on I-55 in Pemiscot County and struck another big-rig. According to the MSHP, the two injured were identified as the driver, 39 year old Jean Pete, who was seriously injured, and 18 year old Jaylan Pete –both of Lafayette.

They were taken to the hospital in Blytheville, following the 2:15 p.m. accident.

Two people were hurt last night when the pickup they were in struck the rear of an 18-wheeler stopped on the interstate because of an accident. Troop E says the driver of the pickup, 31 year old Regal Johnson of Osceola, and a passenger, 32 year old Rasheena Tipler of Hayti, were taken Pemiscot Memorial Hospital.

That accident happened at 7 p.m.
