People leaving their pets behind, either because of eviction or just moving, has strained the resources of the Caruthersville Humane Shelter. Karol Wilcox says the number of animals at the shelter is almost too much for the small staff to handle.
The shelter is requesting donations of almost any kind – from food to toys, treats, and paper towels – You can drop off any donation to the shelter at 500 E. Industrial Drive.
