
A Kennett attorney has announced his candidacy for Associate Circuit Judge in Dunklin County. Jason Scherer is seeking the Republican nomination for the position being vacated by Judge Mark Preyer, who has announced he is not seeking re-election.
Scherer is a 1999 graduate of Kennett High School and has been a local resident ever since. He received his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Missouri – Columbia. He practices law at the firm of Crow, Reynolds, Shetley, McVey, and Scherer.
The primary for county offices is August 2. The filing period officially opens in February.
