Two Weekend Traffic Accident Result in Fatalities

A traffic accident in Bloomfield left one person dead. According to the MSHP, the accident happened on Highway 25 at Griffin Road when 35 year old Christopher Tormino of Campbell drove his vehicle across the road, and the vehicle was struck by a car driven by 61 year old Alice Wimberly of Bloomfield. Wimberly was seriously hurt as was a 13 year old passenger. A second passenger, 44 year old Roy Bell of Bloomfield was killed.

That accident happened Friday at 4:45 p.m.

A New Madrid County traffic accident Friday at 5:45 p.m. left one person dead. Troop E reports that accident happened when a pickup driven by 66 year old Richard Stinson of Catron struck a stopped Freightliner on Route W just east of Kewanee. Stinson was killed; the driver of the Freightliner, 30 year old Gerald Scott of Parma received minor injuries.

50 people have lost their lives in SE Missouri traffic accidents this year.
