To the surprise of few, the St. Louis Cardinals named Oliver Marmol their next manager. Owner Bill Dewitt, Jr. made the announcement during a news conference yesterday.
Marmol said it was an exciting day for him.
Marmol, who will be 35 years and 273 days old on Opening Day, is the youngest manager since Eric Wedge, who was 35 years and 64 days old when he began managing Cleveland in 2003
