A Hayti man, who escaped Pemiscot County authorities last week is back in custody. According to Sheriff Tommy Greenwell, 23 year old Jonathan Stewart was arrested at a home in Kennett about 4:15 this morning by KPD, Pemiscot County deputies, and Hayti Police.
On September 20, Stewart was being escorted to the jail from the courthouse when he broke away from a deputy and ran. He was just sentenced to 120 days in the MDOC for a probation violation on a second degree burglary charge.
