This is Hunger Action Month and Southeast Missouri Food Bank is joining Feeding America in a call to action to fight hunger in our area, where 1 in 5 families and 1 in 6 children don’t have enough to eat. According to Lisa Church, Southeast Missouri Food Bank has planned several events. On Friday Church hopes you’ll wear orange.
A special virtual food drive is going on through the end of the month. You can go to semofoodbank.org and get involved in the virtual food drive. Finally, on Friday, Church says the Food Bank in Sikeston is holding a mobile food pantry distribution at 1 p.m. This drive is for anyone, not just those who live in the Sikeston area.
