News release from Sheriff Tommy Greenwell:
Pemiscot County 911 received a call, on July 29 at 5:32 a.m. of a trailer house on fire at the intersection off County Highways 244 and 249, upon Deputies and Wardell Fire Department’s arrival the home was totally destroyed. Hayti Fire Dept also assisted. After putting out the fire, and inspecting the scene, the bodies of 4 persons were discovered:
Stacy G. Leonard, age 45
Stacy Jo Leonard age 36
Ivan Mitchell Leonard age 1
Leah Sue Leonard age 2
All resided at the residence, the cause of the fire is undetermined at this time.
Investigation continues by the Pemiscot County Sheriff’s Office and Missouri State Fire Marshal’s Office.
