Across Missouri celebrations are planned for the state’s 200th birthday on August 10. One of the ‘coolest’ events is the state-wide Ice Cream Social. Beth Pike, spokesperson for the Bicentennial Commission, says nothing brings people together like ice cream.

The Dunklin County Republican Committee is hosting an ice-cream social at The Vault on the Square on Statehood Day, 4-6 p.m. The city of Caruthersville is holding one at on the riverfront from 5-7 p.m. You can look up all the ice cream socials at Missouri2021.org.
