A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle Sunday just after midnight in Butler County on Missouri 51 south of Broseley. The MSHP identified the victim as 29 year old Chelsie Fortner of Wappapello.
The SUV involved in the accident was towed from the scene, but the driver is unknown.
63 people have died in SE Missouri traffic accidents this year.
