A longtime member of the Kennett Police Department died Friday. Major Rick Groves, a 35 year veteran of the department, died from complications of COVID-19.
Visitation for Groves, who also was Kennett’s Assistant Police Chief, is set for tonight at McDaniel Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. A full honors funeral service is tomorrow at the KHS Gym, starting at 2:30 p.m. Following the service, a procession will follow to Memorial Gardens.
According to KPD, all ceremonies are open to the public.
