The Kennett School Board met this week. During the session, Superintendent Dr. Chris Wilson reported the total enrollment for August was 1,871 students. That’s a slight increase over last year. The average daily attendance was 1,716 — that’s a decrease of 26 students from last year.
In a closed session, the board accepted three of retirement letters, effective at the end of the school year:
Jerry Buchanan — assistant principal at Masterson Elementary; Melissa Jones, director of special education; and Sally Cates, KHS Science and Spanish instructor.
