On January, 31 2017, Officer Trimm  with the Steele Police arrested Walter Partain 26, of Steele on two active warrants through the City of Steele charging him with failure to appear bond was $543. Partain was taken to the Police Department where he was processed and then transported to the Pemiscot County Jail.

On January, 31 2017, Officer Trimm arrested Jason Moody 28, of Steele on a Pemiscot County warrant charging him with assualt first degree and armed criminal action with bond set at $200,000. Moody, was subsequently taken to the Pemiscot County Jail.

 

On February 2, Officer Stanfield with the Steele Police responded to a residence on Wright Street in reference to an assault. Upon arrival officers subsequently arrested two women 38 year old and 36 year old  both from Steele on charges of domestic assault and disorderly conduct by fighting. The two women were taken to the police department where they were processed and both were later released by summons to appear in Steele Municipal Court.

on February 4, Officer Dodd with the Steele Police conducted a traffic stop and during the course of the stop the passenger 34 year old woman from Steele was found to be in possession of purported methamphetamine, she was subsequently arrested for possession of a controlled substance and taken to the Pemiscot County Jail. The driver had a suspended drivers license and received a summons to appear in State Court.

On February 5, Steele Police responded to a residence on West Main Street in reference to a man who had a head injury, Steele Police and Pemiscot County Deputy arrived on the scene. Officers made contact with the 23 year male who became belligerent toward the officers and then physically aggressive towards the officers; police deployed a taser at the man but he continued fighting and assaulting officers. The man was subsequently handcuffed by police and then transported by ambulance to Pemiscot County Memorial Hospital. The Pemiscot County Deputy whom was assisting the Steele officer received minor injuries during the altercation. Office Josh Carter has filed a report with the Pemiscot County Prosecuting Attorney for review of possible criminal charges.
