76-year-old Edmund Hatley of Arbyrd, MO., was killed early this morning around 1:00 am when his pick-up ran off the road, hit a mail box and overturned, ejecting him from the vehicle.
The accident occurred two miles east of Arbyrd, on Highway 164. Authorities didn’t discover the accident until later in the morning. Dunklin County Coroner James Powell was called and pronounced Hatley dead at the scene at 6:37 this morning.
The online report from the Missouri Highway Patrol show Hatley’s death to be the 3rd in Troop “E” this year.
He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
