Police Report January 13 – 16, 2017

On January 13, 2017 Steele Police arrested 31 year old David Miller of Steele on an active warrant for his arrest through Portageville; charging him with domestic assault and peace disturbance (bond $500.00). David Miller was taken to the police department where he was processed and then later picked up by Portageville police. Arresting officer: Stanfield

On January 13, 2017 Steele Police responded to a residence on North Locust Street in reference to an assault. Upon arrival officers met with a woman whom stated she had been physically assaulted. During the course of investigation officers subsequently arrested a 30 year old woman from Steele; charging her with the alleged assault. The 30 year old suspect was released with a summons to appear in Steele Municipal Court. Arresting officer: Stanfield

On January 15, 2017 Steele Police along with Pemiscot County Deputies responded to a fight call at the Sam F Hamra Community Center. Upon arrival officers witnessed a man punch the glass on a display case; breaking out the glass. Officers attempted to arrest the man but he resisted arrest by struggling with police; the man was subsequently handcuffed and restrained. The suspect identified as being a 23 year old man from Steele was charged with property damage and resisting arrest; he was transported to the Pemiscot County Jail and incarcerated. On January 15, 2017 Steele Police responded to a home on North Second Street in reference to a domestic disturbance; upon arrival officers subsequently arrested a 19 year old man from Steele on assault charges and endangering the welfare of a child. The 19 year old suspect was processed and then taken to the Pemiscot County Jail where he was incarcerated. Arresting officer: Carter

On January 16, 2017 Steele Police conducted a traffic stop and during the course of the stop, officers found inside the car a glass pipe commonly used for smoking methamphetamine. The pipe contained a residue believed to be purported methamphetamine. The driver a 33 year old woman from Kennett was arrested on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia; she was subsequently transported to the Pemiscot County Jail. Arresting officer: Dodd
