Update: Wreck at Hwy. 25 by Wilson Recycling involving 2 semi’s

Traffic was slowed as Kennett Police worked an accident this morning on Highway 25 that resulted in one person being transferred to the hospital after two semi’s collided.

Police and Kennett firemen were called to the scene in front of Wilson’s Salvage Wednesday, January 18, around 6:40 a.m.

According to witnesses one semi was pulling from Wilson’s Salvage when it was struck by another semi travelling North on Highway 25. The truck was identified as belonging to Conway Freight Line and the driver was from Poplar Bluff Mo., he was transported to a local hospital.  No word on the extent of his injuries.

A spokesperson for the Kennett Fire Department stated, that the roadway had to be treated due to the diesel that was spilled from the accident. Traffic was reduced to one lane as authorities cleaned up the wreckage.
