One person was hurt when two vehicles collided on US 61 at Route U in New Madrid Sunday afternoon. Troop E reports the accident happened when 58 year old David Thatch of Parma failed to yield his vehicle, and it struck a pickup driven by 51 year old Bradley Tanner of New Madrid.
Tanner received minor injuries and was taken to the hospital in Sikeston.
The accident happened just after 2 p.m.
