A murder suspect was arraigned yesterday in Dyer County. According to the Dyer County Sheriff’s Department, David Swift appeared before Circuit Court Judge Mark Hayes, who appointed a public defender as Swift’s attorney.
Swift, who is charged with first degree murder in the death of his then wife Karen Swift in 2011, will remain in jail on no bond. His next court date is October 4. He was arrested Monday in Alabama.
