Kennett School Meets for November Session

khs-22

The Kennett School Board held a routine meeting this week. Superintendent Dr. Chris Wilson reported October enrollment in the district was 1,828 students, a decrease of 44 from September. A significant portion of that number can be attributed to the data clean-up of students who never showed up for the first day of school.

Candidates for school board can file starting December 7, with the filing deadline on the 28th. There are two positions open for the April election.

Two retirement letters were accepted – from Lisa Lancaster and Richard Johnson – KHS math instructors.

A resignation letter was accepted from KHS/KMS assistant band director Joshua Matthews. It was effective Nov. 9.
