A Cooter man was arrested by Steele Police and charged with first degree stalking. According to Chief Billy Joe Stanfield, the arrest stems from an incident on Monday when the department heard a report about a girl under 16, who was approached by a man, who drove up wanting her to get inside his car.
62 year old Jimmy L. Boone was arrested and is held with no bond. His arraignment before Judge William Carter is set for Monday.
