April is Child Neglect/Abuse Prevention Month. According to Mabelline Woods of Pemiscot Initiative Network, it’s a nationwide observance. You may have noticed the pinwheel gardens at the courthouses in Kennett and Caruthersville that raises money to help children in Dunklin and Pemiscot Counties. Woods says you can still get one.
