Two New Madrid teenagers were hurt, one seriously late Saturday night when their car ran off the road, struck a ditch, and overturned on Route U at New Madrid. According to the MSHP, a passenger in the car, 18 year old Jordan Branum was taken by helicopter to a Cape hospital, while the driver, a 17 year old whose name was not released, received minor injuries. He too was taken to a Cape hospital.
The accident happened just after 10 p.m.
