Three people were hurt, one seriously, following a weekend traffic accident in butler County on US 67 just north of Poplar Bluff. According to the MSHP, the accident happened yesterday afternoon just after 3 p.m. when a vehicle driven by 75 year old Janet Malpass of Poplar Bluff failed to yield and struck a pickup driven by 31 year old Deborah Bettis of Winona.
Malpass was seriously hurt. Passengers in both vehicles received minor injuries. They were all taken to a Poplar Bluff hospital.
