On August 15, an investigator with the Children’s Division requested immediate assistance by police; officers arrived on North Elm Street and arrested Jason Galbraith of Steele. Chief Stanfield filed a report with Pemiscot County Prosecuting Attorney and a warrant was subsequently issued on Galbraith charging while with endangering the welfare of a child and assault 4th degree with bond set at $50,000. cash only. On August 12, a woman made a report with police stating while she was home on State Street her ex-boyfriend came into her home and assaulted her. Police are currently seeking the man for questioning.

On August 11, police were dispatched to a residence on Gifford Street in reference to an assault. Officers contacted a woman who stated she was physically assaulted by her boyfriend.
