Steele Police report August 8 -17, 2018

On August 17, police responded to Nobel Estates Apartments in reference to an assault; officers subsequently arrested a 20-year-old man from Steele on charges

On August 17, officers conducted a traffic stop and the 60-year-old driver from Steele was subsequently arrested for driving while revoked-persistent offender and also misdemeanor possession of marijuana. Arresting officer; Carter


On August 15, Matthew Vaughn 40, of Steele was arrested on an active warrant charging him with felony non-support with bond set at $1,000. cash only. Arresting officer; Stanfield and Sides.


On August 15, an investigator with the Children’s Division requested immediate assistance by police; officers arrived on North Elm Street and arrested Jason Galbraith of Steele. Chief Stanfield filed a report with Pemiscot County Prosecuting Attorney and a warrant was subsequently issued on Galbraith charging while with endangering the welfare of a child and assault 4th degree with bond set at $50,000. cash only. On August 12, a woman made a report with police stating while she was home on State Street her ex-boyfriend came into her home and assaulted her. Police are currently seeking the man for questioning.


On August 11, Daniel Wilbourn of Steele was arrested on an active warrant charging him with non-support. Wilbourn was taken to the Pemiscot County Jail in lieu of $500. cash only. Arresting officer; Hastings


On August 11, police were dispatched to a residence on Gifford Street in reference to an assault. Officers contacted a woman who stated she was physically assaulted by her boyfriend. An ambulance was called to the scene to transport the woman to the hospital to be treated for her injuries. Officers arrested Aaron Jackson of Steele on charges of domestic assault. Chief Stanfield
