The Dunklin County Genealogical Society will be holding its regular monthly meeting Saturday, Aug. 18 at 10:00 a.m. in the Kennett library.
Anyone interested in keeping the genealogical society active needs to attend the meeting. The goal of the Dunklin County Genealogical Society is to aid anyone researching their family history with information about resources, what to look for, how to document, how to preserve the information and family heirlooms.
We need to remember that not all information is available on the internet or county/state documents. Much of what one needs to complete their family is through sharing information (letters, pictures, stories) with others and that is where a local genealogical society comes in handy.
