Special News Release
The Kennett Police Department would like to remind our citizens that the 2018 Kennett High School Graduation Ceremony will be held this Thursday, May 17, 2018, at 8:00 pm at Metz Cherry Stadium.
The ceremony requires that all guests must have a ticket to enter the ceremony. Those tickets can only be obtained from members of the graduating class of 2018. No one not involved in the commencement program will be allowed onto the football field until the conclusion of the ceremony. In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held in the KHS Gym.
Also, several of the streets surrounding the school and in the immediate area will be blocked off beginning at 7:50 pm and no traffic other than emergency vehicles will be allowed in. At 7:55 pm, traffic into the stadium and gym parking lot will be shut down as well.
We understand that this is a very important time for our graduating seniors however it is a very hectic time for our department and the safety of those at the ceremony is our number one priority.
Our department would like to congratulate the graduates in the class of 2018 and well wishes in your future endeavors.
