Steele Police report December 15 – 28

December 15, Rebecca Calldwell reported to police that someone had stolen her cell phone from her home. Steele police are seeking an individual for questioning in this incident.

December 16, Steele police responded to Nobel Estates in reference to a domestic assault; upon arrival officers met with the victim whom stated she was physically assaulted by William Bracken of Caruthersville. Police subsequently arrested Bracken on the alleged assault: warrant had been issued for the arrest charging Bracken with domestic assault (bond$525.00). William Bracken, 38, was taken to the Pemiscot County Jail. Arresting officer: Carter

December 19, Carrie Stanfield of Holland reported to police that her car had been tampered with while parked at Food Giant. Officers took a report and is currently seeking an individual for questioning.

December 20, Steele police responded to a residence on South Walnut St., in reference to a domestic assault; upon arrival officers met with the victim who told police that a man whom she knows had broke into her home and assaulted her. Police filed a report of this incident with Pemiscot County Prosecuting Attorney and is currently seeking an individual in this incident.

December 20,  Steele police responded to Nobel Estates in reference to an assault; officers met with the victim whom stated a man had came to his apartment and started a fight with him. The suspect allegedly forced his way into the mans home and assaulted him. Steele police are currently seeking an individual for questioning in this incident.

December 20, officers arrested Debbie Brewer, 50 of Steele on an active Steele Municipal warrant charging her with failure to appear. Brewer was taken to the Pemiscot County Jail where she was held on a $217.00 bond. Arresting officer: Reno

December 20,  officers arrested a 50-year-old woman form Steele for trespassing on MACO property after being barred off the property by MACO management. The woman received a summons to appear in Steele Municipal Court and released from custody. Arresting officer: Reno

December 25, Gayla Boone, of Cooter, reported to police that someone had stolen her 2002 Chevy Blazer while parked at a residence on South Walnut Street.

December 28, Steele police responded to the home of Billy Lewis on North Walnut Street in reference to a burglary; it was discovered that someone had forced their way into the home and stole an antique sterling silver tea set. No one was home when the burglary occurred.
