It wouldn’t feel like Christmas time in Dyer County without a visit to the Dyer County Fair’s Christmas in Sorghum Valley.
The unique experience, which starts this Thursday, allows visitors to step back in time and enjoy the holidays in an old-timey fashion.
The free event, which is held in the replica village of Sorghum Valley at the Dyer County fairgrounds, will be December 7- 9 from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
This year’s events include:
* Santa Claus and his helpers
*Music, hot chocolate and caroling, knitting, reading and more fun activities.
The event is free, but in keeping with the Christmas spirit a donation of canned good(s), animal food, coats, eyeglasses and hearing aids will be accepted as admission.
