FCC September is National Suicide Prevention Month.

September is National Suicide Prevention Month. FCC Behavioral Health organized several activities during Suicide Prevention Week (September 10th—September 16th) to increase awareness and share resources and information in an effort to shed light on this topic.

Both staff and consumers participated by holding informative suicide prevention awareness signs at busy intersections around the service area, releasing over 1000 yellow balloons in remembrance of those who have died, creating suicide prevention themed office doors as well as many other activities.

During this week, many individuals also shared their personal experiences related to suicide and offered hope to all who listened. Throughout the rest of September and in the following months, FCC Behavioral Health will continue to focus on increasing suicide prevention awareness. #nomosuicides
