Steele Police Report July 22

On July 21, 2017 Steele Police responded to Flash Market in reference to a shoplifter; the store clerk told police that a woman came inside the store stole a 12 pack of beer and as the suspect was leaving she deliberately knocked over a display case. Steele Police located and arrested the suspect a 50-year-old woman from Steele on charges of shoplifting and property damage; the woman was subsequently taken to the Pemiscot County Jail. On July 21, 2017 Steele Police arrested Jennifer Cutler, 33, of Blytheville, AR., on an active Pemiscot County warrant charging her with failure to appear (bond $268.30); Cutler was taken to the Pemiscot County Jail. Arresting officer: Reynolds

On July 21, 2017 Hunter Garrett reported to police that someone burglarized his home on Doerner Street; taken from the home was a 32-inch Element TV, 32-inch TV (unknown model), Xbox 360 and a Gear 2 smart watch. Anyone with information about this crime is encouraged to contact the Steele Police Department.

On July 22, 2017 Steele Police responded to a home on North First Street in reference to an assault; upon arrival officers met with the victim who stated he had been physically assaulted by two men. Steele officers arrested an 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old man in connection with the alleged assault. The two suspects were taken to the police department and processed; the two was released by summons to appear in Steele Municipal Court. Arresting officer: Stanfield.
