Two airlifted following a single vehicle accident

Two Poplar Bluff, MO., residents were seriously injured in an accident a mile south of Holcomb, on Highway 25 Saturday, March 25, at approximately 3:00 pm.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Morgan Leader, 17, of Poplar Bluff, MO., was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado truck when the driver ran off the roadway and struck a ditch before overturning.

Leader, was transported by ambulance to the Twin River Regional Medical Center in Kennett for treatment.

The two passengers Demarcus Leech, 20, and Keshawn Reid, 16, also from Poplar Bluff, were airlifted to Regional One Health in Memphis, TN., for treatment both were seriously injured.

According the the report Leech, was the only passenger wearing a safety device.
