MSHP Responds to Multiple Serious Crashes in Troop E

The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to multiple serious crashes over the weekend in Troop E.

On Friday, May 29th at 1:10pm, the MSHP responded to a crash in Ripley County, on MO-21, two miles south of Doniphan. The crash occurred as a 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe, driven by a 33 year old female from Poplar Bluff, failed to yield to a 1999 Freightliner Dumptruck, driven by 25 year old male from Doniphan. The dumptruck then struck the side of the Tahoe. The driver of the Tahoe was transported by Ripley County EMS to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center where she was later pronounced at 2:30pm. The next of kin was notified. This is Troop E fatality #18 for 2026.

On Saturday, May 30th, at 8:00pm, the MSHP responded to a serious accident in Stoddard County, two miles east of Fisk on US 60. The crash occurred as a 2010 Harley Davidson Motorcycle, operated by a 59 year old male from Dexter, ran of the left side of the roadway and overturned, ejecting the driver. The driver sustained serious injuries and was transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Stoddard County.

On Sunday, May 31st, at 9:30am, the MSHP responded to a serious crash in Pemiscot County, one mile east of Hayti on MO-84. The single vehicle crash occurred as a 2018 Chevrolet Cruze, driven by an 81 year old female from Caruthersville, ran off the left side of the roadway then struck a culvert. The driver was transported by ambulance to Pemiscot Memorial Hospital. The driver was pronounced at Pemiscot County Memorial Hospital at 10:33am. This is Troop E fatality #19 for 2026.
