Two Serious Crashes In Troop E

The MSHP responded to two serious incidents in Troop E over the weekend.

On Saturday, May 16th, the MSHP responded to a incident in Mississippi County on West Street in Wilson City. At 7:30pm, a 34 year old male from Charleston, MO, fell from the tailgate of a 2018 GMC Sierra. The man was seriously injured in the fall and was air lifted to SSM Health at St. Louis University Hospital.

On Sunday, May 17th, the MSHP responded to a single vehicle accident in Butler County, four miles south of Wappapello on Route T. The crash occurred at 12:05am as a 2014 Yamaha, operated by a 42 year old male from Williamsville, MO., ran off the right side of the roadway and overturned, ejecting both the driver and a 35 year old female passenger from Williamsville. The female occupant was transported by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center with moderate injuries. The male driver sustained serious injuries and was air lifted to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
