RPD Investigates Stolen Vehicle and Vehicle Break Ins

On Wednesday morning at 7:10am, the Rector Police Department was notified of a vehicle stolen on North Phillips street. Shortly after the call for the stolen vehicle, multiple calls came in concerning reports of multiple vehicles being entered in the area. All of the incidents involved vehicles were left unlocked. The vehicles were located on North Phillips, Susan Circle, East Allen, and Donelson.

A short time late, a traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle leaving the area with two 18 year old persons of interest. Surveillance footage obtained from multiple local businesses appear to show the individuals were allegedly involved with the stolen vehicle on North Phillips.

The Rector Police Department was assisted by the Dunklin County Sheriff Department, Kennett Police Department and Blytheville Police Department. The Rector PD also reminds everyone to ensure their vehicles are locked and secured.
