Despite the surge in travel over the long Memorial Day weekend, the national average for a gallon of gas didn’t flinch and is $3.56, according to AAA, just a penny less than a week ago.
It’s pretty much the same story in our area. The average price in Missouri is down only two cents from last week at $3.20. Arkansas’ average is one cent less at $3.12, and Tennessee stands at $3.20 – a penny higher than last week.
