Hornersville’s annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony draws large crowd








The City of Hornersville held its annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, November 30, at the Hornersville Community Building. It was standing room only as people filed in to listen to the carols, see the lighting of the Christmas Tree and enjoy some wonderful refreshments.

Mayor Cathy Ward, welcomed everyone and thanked Keith Cole for all his hard work in making the arrangements for the event. Bro. Paul Moore, of the Hornersville Baptist Church began the ceremony with prayer.

Following the entertainment everyone went outside to listen to the Senath-Hornersville Middle School Choir sing “O Christmas Tree,” and watched the tree lighting ceremony. Afterward, those attending went back inside to enjoy some hot chocolate and cookies.
