Red Cross Hoping to Increase Supply with Area Drives

The American Red Cross is dealing with its lowest blood supply in more than a decade. Joe Zydlo , with the Red Cross, says the organization’s goal is to have a five-day supply of blood. Currently, it only has less than a one-day supply.

 

There are a blood drives today at FBC in Caruthersville from 1:30-5:30 pm; Corning High School from 9 am to 2 pm Wednesday; Malden High School from 1:30-5:30 pm Thursday, and Senath Hornersville High School on Friday from 10 am to 4 pm. To donate, go to RedCrossBlood.org or call 1-800-Red-Cross.
