The Kennett City Council held a routine meeting last night. During his report, Police Chief Kenny Wilson commented briefly on the homicide investigation that happened over the weekend.
49 year old Frankie Pitts was arrested for the killing of Sonny Ridings, who was found dead at his home on Jones Street Saturday.
Pitts appeared in court for the first time on several charges, including first degree murder, yesterday — he will be back in court October 14.
