The Missouri Department of Transportation plans to replace five bridges in New Madrid County.
Three will be replaced on Route 162 between Gideon and Portageville. The bridges are located over Drainage Ditches 1, 251 and 62.
The projects will be let in November 2021, with construction beginning as early as February 2022.
Two bridges are slated for replacement on Route H at Matthews. The bridges are located over Ash Slough Ditch and a drainage ditch.
One bridge will be constructed at a time, and contractors will complete the replacement in one location before proceeding to the next.
That project will be let in November 2021, with construction beginning as early as January 2022.
Completion of all the projects is anticipated by the end of next year.
