Weekend Traffic Accidents Leave Several Hurt

A Kennett woman was hurt when the vehicle she was in left the road and struck a ditch. According to the MSHP, the accident happened on CR 691 south of Fisk in Stoddard County Friday night.The driver of the vehicle, 20 year old Bryce Johnson of Bernie, was not hurt.

Six people were hurt, including three children, in a two vehicle traffic accident on Route C at Route N just south of Senath yesterday afternoon. Troopers report the accident happened when 25 year old Felicia Swindle of Kennett failed to yield her pickup and pulled into the path of another pickup, driven by 39 year old Tillman Sharp of Manila.

Both drivers received minor injuries. The children were occupants in Swindle’s vehicle; their injuries were termed as minor. A passenger in Sharp’s pickup, 39 year old Brandi Whitehead of Manila received moderate injuries. All were taken to the hospital in Paragould.

A one vehicle accident on I-55 in Pemiscot County left a Spring Hill, TN man seriously hurt. Troop E reports 26 year old William Davis was taken by Survival Flight to the Elvis Presley Trauma Center in Memphis after his car ran off the road and struck a bridge embankment.
