Prominent Citizen of Kennett Killed Monday

A prominent citizen of Kennett died Monday after being struck by a vehicle. According to KPD Chief Kenny Wilson, his department and the Kennett Fire Department responded to the Square Monday morning about 9:19 a.m. to investigate an accident involving a pedestrian. The man struck was identified as Keith Mitchell. “It is with deep regret that we announce that Keith Mitchell did not survive his injuries,” Wilson wrote in a news release provided for Hometown News, “Mr. Mitchell was a great friend to the Kennett community and was involved in many activities throughout the city. His generosity within the community will always be remembered. Please remember the Mitchell family in your prayers.”
