According to the MSHP, five people died in traffic crashes during the 78-hour counting period across the state. The counting period began at 6 p.m. Christmas Eve and ended at 11:59 p.m. Sunday.

Traffic Crash Fatalities — 5
DWI — 62
There were no fatality accidents in SE Missouri.
